A delightful Grade II listed country cottage set amid stunning gardens affording views over rolling countryside within reach of village amenities.

The White House is a delightful Grade II listed country cottage of great charm set in lovely landscaped grounds, benefiting from far reaching views over open farmland.

The property has been meticulously restored by the current owner and the original medieval timbers sit side by side with new bespoke joinery created by local craftsmen that includes oak external and internal doors, custom built fitted kitchen and oak flooring. The property is well maintained throughout and also benefits from natural stone floor tiles and timber framed double glazed windows.

Internally, there are a wealth of original features on display including inglenook fireplaces, oak beams and exposed brickwork - all creating an inviting atmosphere. Much of the accommodation enjoys glorious views over rolling countryside.

Outside, the house is set amid beautiful landscaped gardens which have been lovingly planted with flowering shrubs, herbaceous plants and specimen trees, designed to create colour and interest throughout the seasons. There is a generous stone and brick paved terrace which enjoys an outstanding outlook, along with further viewpoints throughout the grounds, creating the perfect areas for relaxing and entertaining.

The sweeping lawns provide ample space for family games and there is also an idyllic area of natural woodland which is adorned with bluebells in the spring. A further charming feature is the original brick privy which is in full working order.

The property is approached through a timber five bar gate giving access to a generous sized parking and turning area. Adjacent, the barn style double garage has a car port/log store to one side and a good sized vaulted storeroom above, which could be converted to a super home office, subject to any necessary planning consent(s). The gardens of circa 0.7 acres are flanked by and overlook open countryside.
