Description

West House is a significant wing of a handsome old Georgian vicarage, which is set in stunning mature gardens in the heart of one of the county's most sought after villages. This splendid and most elegant Grade II listed family home offers over 3,500 sq ft of internal space and stands in wonderful gardens of about 0.63 acres. The house features a beautiful drawing room with lovely open fireplace and a separate home office/study area. There is a spacious dining room and a fabulous kitchen/breakfast room, the kitchen area being fitted with an extensive range of hand crafted bespoke cabinetry complemented by granite worktops.

Off the kitchen is a very useful utility/boot room which has a door that leads out to a pretty courtyard. From the main hallway, a staircase leads down to the basement area which features a 23' studio/games room (often used for Yoga and Pilates classes), a wine cellar and workshop and boiler room.

From the hallway, a staircase rises to a split level landing. The lower level offers plenty of space for a desk for those who need further 'working from home' space, whilst giving access to bedrooms two and three. A secondary staircase rises to the top floor where bedroom four can be found. From the principal landing are the elegant main bedroom and family bathroom. The main bedroom features a bank of wardrobes and a good sized en suite bath and shower room.

West House is approached down a long gravel driveway which is flanked by lovely shrubs and trees and leads to a double oak framed 'cart shed' with power connected. The gardens beyond are all rather wonderful with a long pathway that meanders around the rear boundary passing a lovely well cared for vegetable garden and pretty wooded copse. The lawned garden is well tended for and features mature herbaceous borders and hedging.

Services:
Mains water, electricity and drainage. Oil fired central heating. We understand from the owner that FTTP fibre broadband has been recently connected in the village.
