Somerset Nursery
The current owners acquired the site as bare land in 2016 and have
created an established well regarded horticultural business, from
scratch, specialising in Perennials and Grasses. Somerset Nursery is a
family run eco-friendly Nursery set on a hill overlooking the beautiful
South Somerset countryside. The Nursery provides plentiful space for
customer parking on a gravel base. The retail area is well laid out for
the customers with a little shop at the exit. There is a superb paddock
adjoining this area which would be perfect for glamping (stp). The
growing beds and polytunnels are well laid out within easy access for
the main barn.

This breath-taking nursery has been established with care and love over
the last four years to create a dream space to grow a variety of plants.
Mainly grown are herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses
which suit all the different growing conditions found in the gardens.
However, there are a huge array of plants grown including wild species
and cultivars that are closely related to their wild cousins. This nursery is
run using an entirely environmental approach using peat free compost,
biological pest controls, recyclable pots and harvesting rain water for
irrigation. Situated in a spectacular spot to take in the surrounding area,
there would inevitable be scope to enhance the site further.

External
The Nursery encompasses a well thought out design of display beds
alongside a number of outbuildings including 12 x 6m machinery/
storage barn which encompasses an office with a kitchenette and
heating. Two principle 20` x 6` polythene tunnels plus a 20` x 6`
shade polythene tunnel, rainwater harvester, automated irrigation
system with pump shed and a timber retail sales shed. In addition,
there is ample customer parking, together with an overspill field with
a sizeable wild meadow with an array of trees. The business itself has
both retail and commercial clients, together with a sizeable mailing
list of private clients; there are accounts available upon signing an
NDA.
In all the land amounts to 3.7 acres.

Calamagrostis, Carex, Chasmanthium, Deschampsia, Hakonechloa,
