Outside
A five bar gate opens to a gravel drive that ascends gently to the house and provides ample private space for parking. The large garden is bound by mature hedging, some dry stone walling and wire fencing with many mature trees as well as a number of newly planted varieties, herbaceous borders and a vegetable patch. A sheltered stone terrace with a stone seat and raised stone beds enjoys an elevated, westerly position. Separate access to the property is via a garden gate and winding path. Formerly two stables, the barn is detached, with a window and slate roof.

Environs
Green End Farm sits above Beck Hole and 1.5 miles north of the village of Goathland. Goathland itself has a history extending from Viking times and much of the surrounding land is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster with the tenants retaining a common right to graze their black faced sheep on the village green and surrounding moorland. The village is perhaps now most famous for its heritage railway station (used in the Harry Potter films), the second-longest preserved line in Britain, built by George Stephenson and running from Pickering to Whitby. The village itself has a number of hotels and a cafe. There are fabulous walks on the doorstep including the Wade's Causeway and the Mallyan Spout waterfall. Whitby with its many facilities lies only a fifteen minute drive to the north, and Malton is half an hour’s drive and has a railway service to York connecting to London, Leeds and Manchester Airport.
