Further afield, Hungerford, Marlborough and Newbury provide comprehensive facilities including restaurants, hotels and well-renowned supermarkets. To the north, Lambourn offers specialist Equine Veterinary Centres and tack shops to cater for the Equestrian Community.

The surrounding countryside has numerous public bridleways and footpaths. Sporting facilities in the area are first class, with racing at Newbury, Ascot, Windsor and Cheltenham. Golf can be found at numerous local courses, including Marlborough Golf Course, Doddington Valley Golf Club and the West Berkshire Golf Course.
