High House Farm
This handsome period farmhouse, believed to have been built in 1783, at the time of the American War of Independence, has charming accommodation of manageable proportions, retaining an array of period features. The main rooms have large windows giving it a nice light feel and make the most of the views over the rear garden and countryside beyond. There is a driveway with parking for at least 3 cars as well as a garage/store, workshop and summer house. The gardens are a particular feature with terraces either side of the house, ideal for outdoor seating and dining, whilst the back garden features level lawns, various well planted borders and a productive vegetable patch. The majority of windows are now double glazed the central heating system was until recently served by a wood-fired boiler which is now in need of replacement. Chain Free.

Merstone is a small village situated a few minutes drive from Newport with its range of facilities, surrounded by attractive countryside with a network of footpaths as well as access on to the Red Squirrel trail cycle path.
