Shooters Hill Hall is conveniently located for the county town of Shrewsbury with its wide range of services, shopping and recreational facilities and from where the A5/M54 provides easy access to the business centres of Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. To the North, both Manchester and Chester are within daily commuting distance with the former on a direct rail line from the local town of Wem. This line also links to the main West Coast line at Crewe and London Euston is only some 2.5 hours away.

Thomas Adams Secondary School is about three miles away in the small market town of Wem, also noted for its excellent butchers, delicatessen, greengrocers and supermarket.
