An existing boarding kennels with outline planning consent for redevelopment to 5 new dwellings on a site of 2.32 acres

The planning ref number is – 18/2288N

Description

Outline planning permission has been granted for the demolition of the boarding kennels and office/workshop and the erection of 5 dwellings on the resultant site.

The scheme will utilise the existing access road off Birch Lane where sufficient rights will be granted. The 5 new build houses are proposed to be delivered in place of the boarding kennels with the initial plans to deliver a “horseshoe” configuration, although the final design is to be confirmed at Reserved Matters stage.

The planning ref number is – 18/2288N

Location

The village of Hough is located approximately 3 miles south of Crewe and 4 miles east of Nantwich within Cheshire. Despite being a small village, it benefits from a local, privately owned public house and a local village hall. It is very well located for access to the M6 motorway at Junction 16 (approximately 5 miles to the east) and Crewe train station (approximately 3.7 miles to the north) – the latter offering regular services to London and Manchester. In addition, there are hourly bus services to Crewe and Nantwich with stops on Cobbs Lane.

The property is ideally suited for access to many attractions such as Alton Towers, Trentham Estate, Chester and North Wales.

Other local amenities include Keele and Manchester Universities, Reaseheath College, Intu Potteries Shopping Centre and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlets. The historical towns of Sandbach and Nantwich are both within easy reach and offering entertainment such as the Mayday transport festival, Jazz festival, cheese festival and battle re-enactments to name a few.
