The Old Cider Mill is situated within the small hamlet of Pen-y-Fan just outside The Narth amidst the glorious wooded landscape of the lower Wye Valley. It is conveniently positioned for both Monmouth and Chepstow as well as the M4 and on to Bristol and Cardiff. Monmouth is known for its quality shops including Waitrose and Marks & Spencer whilst historic Chepstow is famous for its racecourse and castle. Railway stations include Newport, Chepstow and Bristol Parkway.

There is an abundance of recreational opportunities in the vicinity which include glorious walks and trails through the surrounding woodland and countryside (the Wye Valley Walk is adjacent), fishing on the River Wye, golf at St. Pierre Golf & Country Club, and leisure centres in Monmouth and Chepstow.
