Directions
From Carlisle city centre head north on Scotland Road, over the River Eden turning right at the traffic lights onto Brampton Road. Follow this out of the city and head straight over at the roundabout onto the A689. After approximately 3/4 of a mile turn left towards Walby. Follow this into the village and the house is on the left.
Location
Walby House is a fine example of a traditional, Victorian, redbrick, four square farm house.
Located in a World Heritage Site, adjacent to the vallum of Hadrians Wall, in this always popular rural area, close to the village of Crosby on Eden with its well thought of primary school, the hamlet of Walby is easily accessible to the centre of Carlisle and the M6 at Junction 45 and the facilities and amenities of Kingstown and Parkhouse.
Sat in a generous garden plot circa half an acre, the property has the benefit of a detached garage / barn which having been partially renovated in recent years would lend itself to a host of uses, making an ideal workshop or home office, or, subject to the necessary permissions, would lend itself to conversion to make an additional dwelling.
Services
Mains electric and water are connected but have not been tested. Oil powered central heating with a new, August 2021, externally housed boiler for the domestic hot water and central heating (neither this nor any radiators have been tested).
