When we viewed this property ,16 years ago. We fell in love with this stunning stable conversion, with its vaulted ceilings and Velux windows,

two easy maintainable gardens, one beautifully walled.

Views of the lake and small river surrounded by the well-kept grounds and tennis courts sold it to us.

There is abundant wildlife on your doorstep.

Muntjac, fallow deer,foxes, badgers, plus buzzards, red kites ,ducks moorhens, pheasants, plus the various species of owls.



Gilston is a small hamlet, and you can be as involved with activities, as much,as one wishes.



There are plenty of country walks here, and the benefit s of living in a private 13 acres

Estate is that it is just for us 22 residents that live here.

When the grandchildren visit, we have great fun playing ,tennis, rounders, hide and seek,run outs,yearly Easter egg hunts ,all in a perfectly safe environment.



The countryside really is on the doorstep with public footpaths easily accessible just a short distance from our property, which weave and navigate their way through the Hertfordshire landscape. The wildlife has only become more apparent with muntjac and fallow deer regularly roaming the grounds, Red Kites flying over the house and the magical moments when the barn owl can be seen hunting for breakfast and dinner at dawn and dusk. The lake can be seen and enjoyed by all, Swans and migrating Canada Geese (this year also cygnets and goslings), moorhens, coots and mandarin ducks along with an abundance of other wildlife.



There are two pubs (The Plume of Feathers and The Dusty Miller) a short walk away and a third a little further (Fox and Hounds, Hunsdon) which is the most tranquil walk past Gilston Church, across the historic airfield and open pastures (approx. 25-30mins walk away). All serve food to great standard, each with their own very social beer gardens, with the Fox and Hounds allowing dogs inside both the bar and dining area/s.



Access to the shops is in easy reach whichever way you turn with; Harlow, Bishop's Stortford, Hertford, Broxbourne and Cheshunt all within a short drive. In the past few months Deliveroo have also started delivering to our area!



Our location, whilst feeling very rural, is fabulous for transport links.



Easy short drive to Harlow station or you can cycle there. Fast 30-35-minute regular service on Stansted express to London Liverpool Street Station. Reliable and nice modern trains with air conditioning and wifi.



Secure safe multi storey car park at station with plenty of spaces and a car wash service.

Stansted airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Heathrow is 1hr 15m.
