Commanding far reaching views over lovely, adjoining Kent countryside, Grovehurst Farmhouse is a fine, detached country house which has recently been the subject of an extensive programme of extension and refurbishment. Approached from the lane via electric gates on to a private drive which passes in front of the house and on to a parking area in front of the open barn style garaging, the house occupies a slightly elevated position. Gardens to the front and rear have been laid out to cater for family life with various herbaceous borders containing a variety of colourful perennial plants. To the rear the garden is almost park-like with a marvellous array of tall, mature trees and large expanses of level lawn. Situation

In idyllic peaceful, rural surroundings, Grovehurst Farmhouse is set between the popular villages of Horsmonden and Goudhurst, both of which have local village stores as well as local hostelries and restaurants. Cranbrook is about seven miles and has a larger selection of stores, antique shops and cafes, whilst the popular Royal Spa town of Tunbridge Wells is about ten miles to the north. There are many highly regarded schools in the area at both primary and secondary levels, in the private and state sectors. The boarding grammar school of Cranbrook is highly sought after as are the grammar schools in Tunbridge Wells, along with public schools such as Tonbridge, Sutton Valance and Sevenoaks, whilst popular prep schools include St Ronans, Dulwich and Marlborough House with primary schools in Goudhurst, Horsmonden and Cranbrook. The area is renowned for its beauty providing many locations for walking and horse riding, golf clubs include Chart Hills and Lamberhurst and sailing at Bewl Water.
