The village of Plaistow, located just over a mile away, is home to a pub, post-office, cricket club, primary school and a village store providing most things needed for day-to-day needs. A wider range of shopping facilities are available in the nearby towns of Petworth, Haslemere, Guildford and Chichester.

Completed in 2010, Foxwood Lodge is of Green Oak frame construction which allows its truly distinct proportions and layout. The ground floor is designed with a wonderful flow of accommodation which is at once practical and comfortable, it also benefits from under floor heating throughout. Upon entering, the vaulted hall is spacious in itself and gives-way to the kitchen/breakfast/dining room, here are two accesses to the outside, either to wonderful veranda or the rear garden which is a south-facing suntrap, superb for entertaining. Foxwood Lodge Cottage is a substantial addition to the whole, this guest cottage is also of Green Oak construction. The kitchen/living/dining room is a broad, comfortable space with a log burner at its heart, there is a kitchen island, and plentiful storage. Further to the ground floor are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. To the first floor on a mezzanine level is an occasional third bedroom.

The gardens and grounds are a real highlight of the property. Contained within just over an acre, the gardens and pond are abundant with wildlife, mature trees and plants and provide a wonderful backdrop to the house which sits in a bright and elevated position. There are plentiful entertaining areas around the house including the veranda to the front, a terrace to the rear, and a raised terrace in front of the Cottage. There are also several garden stores including a workshop to the front of the property.
