For anyone who has ever dreamed of a living in a converted barn this superb example of a Kent tithe barn conversion will definitely tick all the right boxes. Located in the hamlet of Nash and nestling in about 3.76 acres of garden, grounds and fields surrounded by countryside, it is accessed via a long drive that leads to a large, three vehicle car barn and tool store with plenty of off road parking as well as a delightful rose garden, lawns and a pathway to the front door. The impressive exterior with its high roof line, black cladding and glass frontage provides amazing kerb appeal, while walking through the glass fronted porch and into the vast awe-inspiring reception/dining hall will take your breath away. There is a wonderful double height vaulted and beamed ceiling and views to the galleried landing as well as a pine staircase and slate flooring that flows throughout most of the ground floor. There are glazed double doors and half circular brick steps to the spectacular, triple aspect drawing room with its wall beams, impressive brick fireplace and flame effect gas fire while the cosy sitting room also has delightful wall beams and overlooks the garden. If you are still looking for superlatives then look no further than the stunning contemporary kitchen/breakfast room with its wall beams and brick features including one that houses the double oven. The large kitchen area includes beautiful units with granite worktops and kick board lighting as well as an integrated hob, fridge and wine cooler. There is an adjacent fitted utility room with its dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer, while in the dining area there is a door to the vast terrace. This floor also includes a triple sized shower room, study and a large coat/boot room. The fascinating first floor galleried landing provides a wonderful seating area with its impressive cathedral style windows, wall and cross beams as well as a balcony overlooking the dining hall and a bespoke light that can be lowered for dinner parties. There is a trendy family bathroom with an oval, stand alone bath and five double bedrooms including the gorgeous main with a high vaulted and beamed ceiling and cross beams framing the bed area.

What the Owner says:

This has been a wonderful family home for some 25 years and it has been a great place to bring up a family and also for entertaining. We even had our son's wedding here. However, circumstances have changed and I feel it is time to move nearer to my son. I love the peace and tranquility together with the rural atmosphere but I don't feel isolated as it is only about five minutes to Ash which is a charming and friendly village with a delightful array of period properties and some very useful amenities. It includes a Co-op, newsagent, chemist and hairdresser as well as a physiotherapy centre, a good primary school and St Faith's prep school. The pretty village of Wingham is also nearby with its individual shops, post office, pubs and restaurants including the The Dog – winner of the Great British Pub award 2019 - as well as the Wingham Wildlife Park, an excellent garden centre and the renowned Gibsons Farm Shop for all your quality local produce. At the same time the historic city of Canterbury with its high street stores, individual shops, bars and restaurants is only about 10 miles, the medieval Cinque port town of Sandwich with its mainlines station, the championship golf courses and shops is even less. There are also other excellent state and private primary and secondary schools in the vicinity.
