Chainbridge Lodge is a stunningly beautiful Grade II listed 'chocolate box' fishing lodge, nestling neatly in a truly unique position on the banks of the River Exe. Taking its name from a neighbouring 19th century bridge carrying the private road to Stuckeridge House across the River Exe, Chainbridge Lodge is approached over a driveway that leads over Chainbridge on the opposite of the driveway from the house is a large parking and turning area offering private parking for multiple vehicles. The riparian rights are in hand, covering single bank fishing over the immediate curtilage, extending to around 500m of single bank fishing, derives its headwaters from the slopes of Exmoor; as such the water quality is good and benefits from fast flows. The beat comprises a number of pools and glides interspersed by riffled sections. This stretch has historically been one of the most prolific on the river and for the avid salmon fisherman it represents a remarkable opportunity to fish for salmon within easy reach of London. Salmon with a weight of up to 17lbs have reportedly been caught on this stretch of water. The remaining land comprises predominantly level pasture. In total, the grounds measure approximately 13 acres.

Chainbridge Lodge is located on the River Exe betwixt Bampton and Tiverton. The Exe Valley is an unspoilt area of countryside with a huge variety of wildlife and great natural beauty. The River Exe is the main salmon river in the West Country and one of the most prolific salmon rivers in England, which makes Chainbridge Lodge ideally situated for fishing in the surrounding waters. For everyday facilities, the pretty town of Bampton is about 1.5 miles away and has a range of local shops, pubs, restaurants, a doctor's surgery and primary school. Tiverton, 7 miles away, has a comprehensive range of shopping facilities including a Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Morrisons, a hospital, leisure centre and an 18 hole golf course. There are schools for all ages including the well-respected Blundell's School, for which the property is located within the reduced-fee catchment area. Tiverton Parkway station provides regular services to London Paddington in a little over two hours.
Exeter, approximately 21 miles away, is the most thriving city in the South West and offers a wide choice of cultural activities with a theatre, the
RAMM museum, arts centre and a wealth of good restaurants and shopping including John Lewis.
