Sellers Insight - “Providence Barn has been a beautiful home in a glorious quiet rural location,” says the current owner, “with stunning grounds and the added benefit of a separate one-bedroom annexe. The kitchen is the hub of the house, being spacious yet cosy with its wood-burning stove. The original beams throughout the house are a great feature and add to the character and charm, especially in the Master Bedroom and en-suite”

Since moving here, the owners have made various improvements to the property. “We have completely repainted the interior and exterior throughout and renewed all fixtures and fittings,” they say, “as well as completely refurbishing both downstairs WCs and installing 3 fully fitted bespoke oak wardrobes. Outside, we have installed new fencing around all the garden and paddock areas, re-laid and enlarged both terraced areas, installed a large garden shed with adjoining wood store, and re-gravelled the driveway and paths.”

“One of the things we love most about the property is the beautiful grounds,” the owners continue, “with well-planted flower beds and borders, two large patio areas and a gravel area in one of the paddocks so we can follow the sun! We also have an orchard which delivers an abundance of fruit, from apples, pears and plums to blackcurrants and redcurrants. Having such generous grounds has enabled us to host some fabulous parties here too, with highlights being our son’s 21st birthday party and our daughter's engagement party, with marquees set up in the paddocks.”

The local area has much to offer, too. “The next village is just a mile and a half away with a convenience store and 3 takeaway restaurants,” say the owners, “and there is a doctor's surgery just 2 miles away. The local pubs are excellent, and we are a ten-minute drive from Oswestry for larger shops. There is beautiful countryside and walking close by - the Shropshire Hills and North Wales are stunning – as well as many historic places to visit in the area.”

“We shall miss everything about Providence Barn – it has been a wonderful home and we will be sad to leave.”
