DESCRIPTION
Set within 1.4 acres of grounds, 'East Lodge' was the former lodge house for the Rooks Nest estate, which was built between 1775 - 1781.

The lodge itself comprises an entrance porch and you are lead into a spacious living & dining room which provides access to a fitted kitchen & an 'l shaped' lean to. An inner hallway offers access to three bedrooms, two of which are doubles, a bathroom, separate w.c and a further reception room which offers the versatility to become bedroom four if required.

A former cheese factory can also be found within the grounds. Tornegus cheese was most famously produced by our vendor. Our sellers late partner became a pioneer for handmade British Farmhouse cheeses & travelled the country visiting farms, gathering information & experience & supporting small cheesemakers. Because of his vast knowledge and his strong belief in the industry his advice was sought after - and given freely. Prince Charles took a great interest in his work & when he passed, Prince Charles sent a condolence letter to our vendor & also commissioned an award which is given out each year to a cheesemaker selected by a group of likeminded makers & maturers - including until recently, our seller. The factory was still running until the start of the first lockdown.

Within the grounds other outbuildings including that of a former double garage, a cabin where a swimming pool can be found & a car port.
