Kennett Cottage lies at the end of a private lane and enjoys a lovely aspect with views over fields with a pond to one side and its own gardens to the rear. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside in the conservation area of Towersey, a thriving village close to Thame.

The original 18th century cottage has been extended to create a large family home with an excellent range of outbuildings. The house is entered by the front door into a hallway which leads onto the kitchen and breakfast room, equipped with an AGA. There are three reception rooms, which include a sitting room, a larger drawing room and a dining room. The first floor has five bedrooms, most of which are good sized doubles, and they are served by three bathrooms. There are many period features throughout such as exposed timbers, beams and stone work and inglenook fireplaces. Other important things to note are that the house is not listed, though any future changes would be subject to the usual planning requirements. It was re-thatched in 2020 in Norfolk reed and the house is served by LPG gas heating.

Kennett Cottage is set in beautiful gardens surrounded by mature trees and hedging, making them exceptionally private. It also has access to the Phoenix Trail, a walking and cycle path between Thame and Princes Risborough. A large driveway to the front and side offers parking for several cars. The grounds to the rear of the house include formal gardens, which lead on to paddocks. The formal gardens feature a paved terrace, mature borders, seating areas, and outbuildings, including a games room, workshop, tool shed, and summerhouse. The outbuilding could be converted back to a stable if required.

Towersey is a pretty Oxfordshire village with an active community and a great local pub, situated on the border with Buckinghamshire. For the commuter, Haddenham and Thame Parkway mainline station provides a regular service to London Marylebone from 42 minutes, and is approximately 10 minutes away, while Princes Risborough station is also nearby. Junctions 8 or 6 of the M40 gives access to Oxford, London, and the national motorway network.

The nearby historic market town of Thame offers a wide range of shops, including supermarkets and small independent boutiques. The larger centres of Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Oxford offer a much broader range of shopping and leisure facilities. Recreational and sports facilities in the area include golf at The Oxfordshire, Waterstock, Saunderton, Ellesborough and Whiteleaf, tennis in Thame and Princes Risborough and cricket, football and rugby in Thame. There are three primary schools and a comprehensive school in Thame, all of which are well regarded, and the Buckinghamshire grammar schools in Aylesbury and High Wycombe are also within easy reach. There are numerous excellent private schools in the area, including Ashfold near Brill, The Dragon, Magdalen, Headington, Oxford High, and St Edward's in Oxford, Radley near Abingdon, and Piper's Corner and Wycombe Abbey in Buckinghamshire.

Thame 2 miles, Haddenham and Thame Parkway Station 4.3 miles, Princes Risborough Station 6.6 miles, M40 (J6) Lewknor (Oxford Tube Bus Stop) 6.5 miles, M40 (J7) 6.8 miles, M40 (J8) 8 miles, Oxford 15.9 miles, London 45 miles. (All distances and times are approximate).
