A sympathetically renovated farm house set in rolling countryside and only three miles from Helmsley.

Description

This detached farm house in the Howardian Hills is a beautiful property that has been refurbished from top to bottom into a magnificent home. The property is placed in a rural setting offering beautiful views all around.

Situated outside Oswaldkirk village, this five-bedroom home boasts off street parking, stables, gymnasium and over 3200 square feet of living space.

The home is fronted by the driveway surrounded by neatly maintained hedgerows and flowers. The gardens and pathway wrap around the house leading to a expansive patio at the rear. The garden covers about two acres, and offers a summerhouse, potting shed and many different seating areas, perfect for family gatherings and events. It also includes a vegetable patch with greenhouse and raised beds, providing a wonderful area for home-grown produce. Alongside is an orchard, well stocked with mature productive fruit trees.

On entry, the welcoming hallway to the left leads to the garden room with folding doors that open the room out to the outside seating area, perfect for catching the afternoon sun. Further on past an office space is a second spacious sitting room with a large fireplace. The large kitchen and dining room are open plan, making them the perfect space to hold a dinner party. A spacious utility room at the side of the house provides additional storage and plumbing for a washing machine and vented tumble dryer.

The first floor can be accessed via either staircase. The main stairs off the hallway lead up to a landing to the principal bedroom with en suite, and bedroom four, currently set out as a dressing room. Across the landing is bedroom three, and the family bathroom which consist of a shower, free standing bath and a large built in cupboard with great storage space.

The second set of stairs brings you up next to bedroom two and the second main bathroom with a shower and bath. This wing could easily be used as a comfortable annexe if required.

The second floor has been converted into a very useful study with a good staircase and windows, with the necessary consents this could make an excellent fifth bedroom or additional reception room.

In close proximity to the main house you will find the gymnasium and stables. The gymnasium has power and heating/air conditioning, and is fully insulated for year-round use, so could become another sitting/entertaining/office area away from the main house.
