I could definitely find a good use for these three garages and such a large garden is a rare find in central Ashford. -- Greg Wood, Director

#TheGardenOfEngland

A striking detached period home in central Ashford just a short walk to the town centre and train station with a large plot of circa 0.3 acres, a single garage and further double garage that offers some development potential.

Kings Avenue is a popular but relatively unknown location in Ashford. Being at the far end of Godinton Road, Kings Avenue is a no-through road, with a small cluster of period homes at the lower end leading onto modern homes further along the road. All within a few minutes walk are popular schools (including the highly regarded Highworth Grammar School), a play park, veterinary practice, the amenities of the town centre and the busy Ashford Train Station. There is a handy foot bridge near by that leads over to Godinton and onto Waitrose (a little further up a hill).

What struck me most about this house is the space to the sides and behind. On the right hand side of the property is a gated driveway with OSP for several cars that leads onto a single garage just behind the house. To the left is a further double garage with extra parking to the front. The rear garden is also impressive and certainly larger than the average extending 250ft from pavement to rear boundary. The garden gently slopes away from the house and is mainly laid to lawn.
It is felt there’s substantial scope for further development and we recommend that interested parties should seek further advice from Ashford Borough Council to ascertain what might be permitted.
Internally the house is in good decorative order. There is a lovely flow of accommodation, with a welcoming and bright living room to the front, enjoying a log burner and attractive bay window.
Further appealing features include the partly open plan kitchen and dining room that links to the conservatory, helpful for additional entertaining space with a great vantage point over the rear garden. Upstairs the bedrooms are all comfortable proportions, with the master bedroom having an en-suite and walk in wardrobe.
Viewing really is a must to appreciate all that’s on offer here.
