THE LOCATION
Middleton is a small and pretty village just over a mile outside the market town of Sudbury, set on one side of the Stour Valley at the very corner of Essex. It is a no through road and contains a mixture of houses and cottages of various ages and types and enjoys a wonderful level of peace and quiet. Sudbury is a short drive away and provides a good range of shops, schooling and recreational facilities with many clubs and associations, a modern swimming pool/leisure complex and small quayside theatre. The town station provides shuttle trains through to the main London and Colchester line and it is also easy to drive straight through to Colchester and pick up direct trains to Liverpool Street.
THE PROPERTY
Pemberley is a highly individual detached house set back and down from a quiet no through lane with good sized gardens to the front and rear. It is built with traditional cavity brick walls and a tiled roof but has a very interesting design with spectacular high vaulted ceilings in the hall, sitting room, dining room and bedrooms upstairs. The interior has a contemporary feel with use of exposed brickwork and pine joinery. The particularly large walls make the house ideal for those with an interest in art and displaying large pictures or tapestries. The accommodation is arranged with two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs and the addition of a downstairs shower room would enable living on one level at a future date. There is good parking and a garage to the front and a lovely mature garden to the rear with a pleasant outlook over trees and woodlands. There is an oil fired Aga and full oil fired central heating is provided and the house has full double glazing.
