Beautiful country cottage with land and annexe occupying a peaceful setting.

Description

Little Orchard is a charming country cottage located on the very edge of the Stour Valley enjoying undulating scenic landscapes, set on a secluded plot with high hedging and occupying grounds of around 1.25 acres. The cottage was first built in the mid 1940s and was largely extended in both the mid 1980s and mid 1990s providing light-filled accommodation and up to five bedrooms including a wonderful, self-contained annexe.

In the original part of the house is a cosy sitting room with log burner, a walk-through dining area and a lovely sized kitchen/breakfast room which offers views over the garden and glorious countryside beyond. The property has up to five bedrooms including the attached annexe which can be accessed from the house on both the ground and first floor or via its own external entrance. The annexe is double storey and would suit for multigenerational living or generating an income from Air bnb.

The property is set sideways on from its country lane position and is accessed over a gated drive providing extensive parking. There is a good sized double garage/workshop with automatic doors and a further rear vehicle access door used for storage of garden machinery. The grounds are mainly facing south directly down from the main terrace overlooking the paddock areas with extensive frontage and equally an extensive rear boundary overlooking the scenic undulations of the valley. The second paddock has a down field entrance gate and independent mains fed water pipe to paddock sufficient for residential purposes therefore potential for holiday cottage subject to necessary planning consents. All in around 1.25 acres.
