A charming stone built double fronted cottage in a picturesque Moors village.

Description

The Pastures is one of a row of attractive stone built period houses which line the main street of this picturesque village which takes its name from the valley it nestles in. Believed to date from the 18th century and likely to have been a pair of workers cottages, the property retains much of its original appearance but much has changed inside.

The property has been recently redecorated and refurbished throughout, including a new central heating system and both the kitchen and bathroom have been updated resulting in a modern, fresh feel but with numerous period features taking center stage, particularly the original ceiling beams, multi-paned sash windows and storage cupboards. Unlike many properties of this age and style the majority of rooms are of generous proportions and blessed with plenty of natural light, not to mention lovely views of the surrounding village and dale.

Standing back from the peaceful main street behind a low stone wall, the house is fronted by a pretty garden with a central lawn and colorful beds on either side, bound by mature shrubs and stone walls. There is pedestrian access to the side along a gravel drive which serves two neighbors and a gate leading to the back garden. This has a lower patio accessed directly from the kitchen with steps up to a lawn edged with shallow boarders and a dry stone wall on either side and a small patio area in the far corner ideal for catching the evening sunshine.

The property currently serves as a successful holiday let. A full year business revenue figures can be made available on application.
