Dating back to the medieval period when it was owned by the Church and used to collect tithes (or taxes), which were often paid in kind with agricultural produce, Tithe Barn is built of local stone with a Roman clay tile roof and is unlisted. The barn was sold off in a parlous state of repair in the late 1970s, after which the initial conversion was then undertaken. It has since been remodelled and updated twice, most recently in 2015, when it was bought by the current owners. stone-built livestock barn that now incorporates a double garage and adjacent workshop

consents, the building would make an ideal self-contained annexe as it is set at 90°
to the main house and therefore does not impinge on its privacy. The principal area of
garden extends out to the rear of the barn, with an extensive terrace immediately behind
overlooked by a charming, stone-built summer house. Beyond it is a gently sloping lawn
bounded by post and rail fencing that leads up to the heated swimming pool with a paved

looking out across the grounds of the manor house to the steep hillside of Southern Hill
