Believed to date back to 1826 or thereabouts, Fronfelen Hall was originally in the ownership of the local slate quarry owners and owned much of the surrounding valley in the original 800 acre estate.

The property is constructed of coursed, slate blocks presumably derived from the estate quaries. The house was adapted to a Nursing Home in 1970's. Most original detail have survived including the deep eaves, sash windows and some mouldings with key motif. The interesting original plan has been retained.
