See Fife Council planning ref: 13/02977/FULL. Or likely semi-detached houses.Plans outline a one and a half storey house with a double height, vaulted ceiling above both the living room and open plan kitchen/dining room.Lot 1 - north barn + 1.2 acres approx. Lot 2 - 2.85 acres approx.Lot 3 - south barn, sheds + 6.65 acres approx.Fife Council planning consent to convert the west barn into one large dwelling houseFull planning consent was given for a 4 bedroom house in 2013 – this was in respect of converting the whole of the stone barn into one large house. If lots 1, 2 and 3 are purchased together then this development could proceed. Offers for the property are invited whereby the purchaser can offer for lots 1, 2 and 3 subject to reinstating the original planning consent. This would probably require a bat survey, a septic tank, soakaway, porosity test and possibly even a contamination survey. Once consent was given the purchasers would likely have a kit house manufactured and lowered into the shell of the existing barn. The costs would probably be around £1500/sqm. Claymore Homes at Ladybank have been asked to quote for building out the originally consented house.Fife Council pre planning application enquiryA recent pre planning application enquiry verified that the expired consented house would likely secure planning consent or that two semi-detached houses would likely be consented. The planners suggested that they would agree for this house to be subdivided into two one and a half storey semi- detached houses.Local amenitiesThe Royal Burgh of Culross is just 3 miles away. This preserved, 16th century town is on the River Forth and has many interesting attractions such as Culross Palace and The Town House, both of which are run by the National Trust for Scotland. There is a quaint cafe, craft shop and 13th century Culross Abbey.Blairhall village lies half a mile to the north and has a primary school and a convenience shop. Nearby Oakley has more shops, a primary school and a church and there’s also a primary school and church in Carnock. The city of Dunfermline has secondary schools and a full range of shopping, leisure and award-winning cultural attractions.Equestrian and bike trailsThere are numerous, managed and sign-posted Forest and Land Scotland public rights of way and trails to explore in the West Fife Woodlands.
