Travelling through Sleights on the A169 Whitby to Guisborough road, cross over the River Esk and take the first turning left past the Salmon Leap Hotel. Continue and turn over the beck passing the sports field on the right hand side and the land lies either side of the private road leading to Lowdale Hall.

There is a well-used public footpath which passes from Whin Green, skirting Lowdale Hall, before crossing the stream and emerging at Ugglebarnby.

Subsidy Status & Agri Environment Schemes
The land for sale has been registered under the Basic Payment Scheme and has been claimed on each year since. The vendors have again claimed these subsidy rights for the 2021 scheme year and will retain these payments. The BPS entitlements are included within the purchase price and will be transferred to the purchaser in time for them to claim from the 2022 scheme year onwards, so long as the sale has been completed. If the sale has not yet been completed by 15th May 2022, then the vendors will again claim these payments and then transfer them in time for the 2023 scheme year.
