Description

1 Middleshade is a lovely detached house dating from 1927 set in a beautifully maintained garden. It is built of harled, cavity wall construction under a slate roof and has metal framed windows.

Double storm doors and a half glazed inner door open into a hall with two windows over the stairs. Internally the accommodation is bright and well laid out. The drawing room has a conservatory adjoining and an internal window into the hall which means that sunlight floods throughout the house.

There is an under stairs cupboard and a shower room. The dining room off the hall has windows on three sides and a Victorian style cast iron and tiled fireplace with a gas fire.

The drawing room has a coal effect gas fire and arched display recess. The adjoining conservatory has window and ceiling blinds and door to the terrace outside the kitchen.

The kitchen has a breakfast room area with French doors to the terrace. The kitchen units include a Toledo Rangemaster electric cooker with induction hob, grill and double oven. There is an integrated dishwasher and a 1.5 sink. The free standing Liebherr Fridge and Freezer are included in the sale.

Off the kitchen is a utility room which is plumbed for a washing machine and tumble drier. There is a coat cupboard and Worcester Bosch combi boiler. The back door leads out to the driveway and carport.

First Floor

There is a galleried landing with bannisters overlooking the hall. Three of the bedrooms have built in wardrobes. The fourth is currently used as a study with a hatch to the loft. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, WC and twin wash basins in a fitted unit.

Garden

The house is set in a lovely garden of 0.127 acres with a low stone wall in front and a 6ft high wooden fence on the other three sides.

Iron gates lead to a paved driveway which goes up the side of the house and leads to a car port. The car port is steel framed with a box profile metal panel roof with a store compartment and brick built shed behind. There is also a large, wooden garden shed and a wooden summer house.

The back garden is private with a central lawn and raised beds and rock gardens. There are pagodas at the back of the garden and dividing off the terrace outside the kitchen which is a lovely area for barbequing and alfresco dining.

Along of the front of the house are colourful flower beds and a gravel path leading to the front door.
