Hoales Wood comprises a distinct individual block of amenity woodland extending to approximately 1.91 acres within close proximity to several established ancient semi-natural woodlands. Together they form part of a much larger area of woodland, covering in the region of 72 acres (30hectares).

Over the years, nature and conservation have been the prime objective for this charming parcel with only small-scale domestic firewood production being undertaken. There is well-established flora and fauna, including dense patches of bluebells, wild garlic, and ferns to the north of the wood. With the flowing beck running along the inside of the western boundary and vast array of habitat and wildlife on offer, the woodland presents a rare opportunity to purchase an idyllic, well-presented woodland which boasts wildlife, beautiful views, and scope for future management.

The established woodland hosts a variety of species to include significant element of established Alder, Hazel and Sweet Chestnut coppice, along with Ash and Oak beginning to show veteran tree characteristics. Along a south facing slope, clearings allow a good level of light to the woodland floor, providing a woodland suited for a wide variety of activities [subject to the necessary consents].

An existing (though dilapidated) structure is situated within the woodland, previously used as a storage shed for woodland machinery and housing sheep.
