Beccles has a regular rail service to London Liverpool Street via Ipswich, and Diss (16 miles) has a mainline rail station with direct train to London Liverpool Street. Southwold and the heritage Suffolk coast is about 12 miles to the east, and offers a comprehensive range of leisure pursuits and amenities.

Linked to the house is a large barn, currently used as a games room which has potential for alternative uses such as home office, gym or additional accommodation if required. Attached to this is another substantial outbuilding, suitable for American style stabling, or as a workshop or simply for dry storage. There is an apron of concrete, giving a parking and turning area whilst also giving access to the stable block, which has 4 loose boxes. This area is suitable for turning a trailer or lorry a round.
