Owner's perspective - We have thoroughly enjoyed living in our barn for the past 18 years and raising our family here. It’s a great house for entertaining, both indoors and out, with a fabulous sun trap of a garden. We love the spacious rooms and high ceilings and we’ve never yet met someone who isn’t bowled over by the fireplace. We’ve got plenty of space for guests in our annex, together with a large home office which made working from home a breeze. We all enjoy the privacy and tranquillity of the garden and the fact we can be walking over the fields within a minute of leaving our home. We’re 2 miles from the A50 so easy for commuting, but once you’ve traversed the lane you’ll feel you’re 100 miles from the rat race. There’s a pub up the road and fine dining to be had just beyond that. Birmingham, Nottingham are about an hour away, with Manchester a little further, meaning great access to theatre and events (and airports!).
