7. Modern Steel Portal Framed Cattle Shed (73’ x 32’) and brick construction under a pitched corrugated mixed fibre roof, half height pre cast concrete pillows and profile sheet cladding over a half slatted/half solid floor, central feed passage and fixed yoke feed barrier.

8. Iron Framed, Open Sided Lean To (61’ x 26’) over a bare earth floor.

9. Steel Portal Framed Cubicle Shed (90’ x 30’) construction under a pitched corrugated mixed fibre roof, half height pre cast concrete pillows and profile sheet cladding over a solid floor, 45 cubicles and fixed yoke feed barrier.
10. General Purpose Building (78’ x 31’) of steel portal frame construction under a corrugated mixed fibre roof, half height pre cast concrete pillows and Yorkshire boarding clad over a solid floor solid floor. This building incorporates part of the Traditional Range.

11. Traditional stone-built steading building under a pitched slate roof. (75’ x 20’) .

12. Wooden Pole Barn: A wooden pole construction under a pitched corrugated sheet
metal roof, cladding of the same over a solid earth floor.

13. Adjoining the wooden pole barn are some lean to buildings (83’ x 54’) of the same construction with a monopitched corrugated sheet metal roof.

LAND
The land within Lot 1 extends to 64.58 ac (26.54 ha) or thereby, lying between 85 to 109 m above sea level. Lot 1 is bisected by the railway and all enclosures are supplied with water. The fencing is in good condition, provided predominantly by post & wire fences, with some hedges. Internal bare earth tracks provide access to the enclosures. According to the James Hutton Institute’s Land Capability for Agriculture Classification the land ranges between Class 4.1 to 4.2 and is predominantly laid to grass.

The Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) Entitlements in respect of South Barr Farm are included in the sale. The vendors have submitted an application to claim Basic Payment for the farming business. South Barr Farm is located on the outskirts of Barrmill village and 2 miles south east of Beith in North Ayrshire. Beith has a range of services including multiple primary schools and a
secondary school within commutable distance. Other services include a Post Office, public houses and bus services towards Irvine, Paisley and Glasgow.

There are a range of agricultural services in the area including a tractor dealership and veterinarian practice in Beith itself with livestock markets at Ayr and Lanark.
