STRAWEARN HOUSE

Strawearn House is a modern 5 bedroom U-shaped house worthy of its imposing location over Glenfarg. The house is of a roughcast construction under a slate roof.

The front entrance of Strawearn proudly sits facing east enjoying the prominent view achieved by the houses location. Internally, an expansive living space has been created with a substantial kitchen and dining area, ideal for the family, being serviced by a twin facing stove accessible from either the kitchen space or the neighbouring living room.

The living room of Strawearn is arguably the proverbial jewel in the crown at Candy; with large twin gable windows bathing the room in light with sleek twin chandeliers arrogantly filling the high ceiling room. A separate dining room looks onto the private patio space at the heart of Strawearn, parallel to this dining room is a comfortable office space with patio doors allowing for a relaxing, yet private, work space. There are three double bedrooms on the ground level, all with en-suite bathrooms and French doors, with two further bedrooms upstairs including the large master bedroom which enjoys dual aspect windows and a significant living area.

Strawearn House has been designed to be the ideal family home; with large modern living spaces offering a practical and warm living environment. The present layout of the internal accommodation comprises;

Ground Floor: Vestibule, hallway, living room, kitchen, pantry, utility room, office, bathroom, dining room, study, 3 bedrooms all with en-suites, stairway.

First Floor: bedroom, family bathroom, master bedroom and attic space.

The house enjoys a garden laid to lawn on its eastern aspect. There is a large gravel parking area which leads to a private patio space in the central area of the U-shaped building. The dwelling benefits from a large store, of timber construction, which is split between an open faced section and a secure closed compartment.

Strawearn was designed to accommodate guests under a B&B arrangement. Two of the bedrooms on the lower floor can be utilised for this purpose. They have external doors to the rear courtyard allowing for access into the dining room.
