The woodland is situated around 2.5 miles north of the market town of Pickering in the Ryedale District of North Yorkshire close to the southern boundary of the North York Moors National Park.



The land is accessed over a private right of way to the north of the land in an area known as Saintoft which leads onto Swainsea Lane, which is a public maintained highway leading through to Pickering town centre.



Pickering is a popular market town located in the Ryedale District of North Yorkshire and provides a wide range of services and amenities including schools, shops, restaurants and public houses, sporting and leisure facilities and is popular with tourists and locals alike.



There is excellent local riding and walking available along the miles of bridleways and footpaths
