A beautifully refurbished cottage with a breathtaking view

Description

Tullichuil has a fabulous elevated location about half a mile up a steep hillside. From its high vantage point, the panoramic view takes in Schiehallion, Ben Lawers and the surrounding range with the River Tay below. On arrival at Tullichuil, there is a great sense of having got away from it all.

Tullichuil was once part of the Bolfracks Estate and is believed to date from the 1880s. It is a pretty traditional building which the current owners have extended and refurbished so that it retains lots of original features and character, while also being extremely comfortable. The main entrance is via the back door which opens to a hall with space to hang coats and access to a WC, utility room and boiler room. Straight ahead is the welcoming dining kitchen with cabinets by Murray & Murray and a red two oven AGA. There is space for a sociable dining table in the kitchen and a large window with working shutters captures the mesmerising view. Also on the ground floor is the sitting room which is a similar size to the kitchen and has an open fire. There is an additional room on the ground floor which works well as an extra bedroom or as an office depending on a buyer’s requirements. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. The two bedrooms at the front of the house enjoy the glorious view, while the third bedroom being part of the extension has a wonderfully lofty and contemporary feel.

Outside
Tullichuil is set in just over an acre of garden which is mainly grass with some pretty birch woodland.
