Also, the natural Amphitheatre of Porlock Bay is about 6.8 miles away, a lively community with unique independent shops and galleries, a primary school, public houses, restaurants, the 13th Century Church of St Dubricius, and Porlock Weir offering a whole host of outdoor activities.
The coastal town of Minehead lies about 1 mile away and hosts a much wider range of facilities and amenities. There are excellent private schools at Tiverton, Taunton and West Buckland, and mainline train stations at Taunton and Tiverton Parkway, with regular connections to London and the Midlands.

Heading toward Minehead on the A39 from the east take a left onto Brook Street and continue straight onto Manor Road continue on this road which turns into the drive, follow track through the woodland and Aldersmead will be found at the end.
