An impressive and conveniently located Victorian village house, tucked away with a fine garden.

Description

A nicely presented Victorian village house, with ground floor brick elevations and tile hung upper elevations, all set under a steeply pitched tiled roof, featuring attractive gables and chimneys.

The Orchard is situated in a tucked away position within this popular village, within a short distance of the well regarded primary school and is conveniently placed for local shopping too.

This unlisted home offers characterful accommodation arranged over three floors, is well presented and comfortable with a modern kitchen and bathrooms and benefits from many period features, including fireplaces to a good number of rooms, ceiling mouldings, bay windows, panelled doors with brass door furniture and an attractive staircase, with panelling, spindles and wooden rails.

The top floor comprises a landing, bedroom five, a shower room, and a large attic store room/studio (with potential subject to consents).

Outside, the much loved established garden is a delight, extending to just over half an acre with an extensive lawn, well screened borders and incorporating a terrace accessed from the conservatory, interspersed with a wonderful array of roses and with shade provided by an impressive Portuguese laurel tree, complete with a rose-covered canopy.

The front driveway has electronically operated entrance gates, leading to a brick paved parking area and very large detached four-car garage with garden store to the side.
