The East Heath Land

Approximately 94.02 acres of ring-fenced mainly south-facing arable land including 9.93 acres of woodland & shaws. With potential for vine production.

The land is situated approximately 1 mile to the south-east of the centre of Hawkhurst close to the B2244 and the A268 between Hawkhurst and Sandhurst. The A21 trunk road to London is about 2 miles to the west.

The ring-fenced parcel of land comprises four main field enclosures, divided by well-established hedges and small shaws. The land is generally south and south-east facing and lies between 15 metres and 18 metres above sea-level (taken from Google Earth).



The soil type is a combination of Wealden clay and Tunbridge Wells sand, and the classification is shown as Grade III on the Agricultural Land Classification Plan for England & Wales. The land has produced cereal crops for several years and it is currently planted to wheat.
