Location

Chichester itself provides a wide range of facilities including the internationally known Festival Theatre, Pallant House Gallery and excellent shopping facilities arranged within its ancient city cente. The mainline railway station at Chichester provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 40 minutes.

Recreational activities are numerous, many of them centered on the Goodwood Estate, famous for its horse racing including the Qatar Festival, the Festival of Speed and the Revival meeting at its historic motor circuit.

Chichester Harbour, some five miles to the south, has long been popular with sailors and there are many well established clubs but notably Chichester Yacht Basin, Bosham and Itchenor. The blue flag beaches of West Wittering can be found approximately nine miles to the south as well as the National Trust Reserve at East Head.
