Directions - From Dorchester, take the A352 north towards Sherborne and on passing through the hamlet of Lyon's Gate, access to the woodlands is on the left, after about 0.6 mile (please see plan for identification).

Park carefully in the lay-by by the double 5-bar gate, walk down the track for about 0.2 miles and take the first left hand track. Trendle woods is found after about 0.1 mile, and Corton woods is just beyond.
