Macketts Land Cottages are being sold as a collective, with three charming properties, and extensive land to the rear. Overall, the plot is over an acre, and an expansive plot for you to enjoy.

There is an agricultural tie on the houses meaning:

The occupation of the houses is limited to persons whose employment or latest employment is or was employment in agriculture as defined in section 22 of the Act of 1962, or in forestry or industry mainly dependent upon agriculture and including also the dependents of such persons as aforesaid.

Take in the stunning views of the surrounding areas – the peace, tranquility and privacy elevates these cottages to another level. For those that love exploring the outdoors, Macketts Land Cottages deliver.

All three cottages have extensive off-road parking, and each cottage has a single garage included, with room for a workshop.

The garden is generous and located on three sides. With the increasing advent of homeworking, this is a welcome option for sure.

For the green fingered gardeners, there are a number of productive fruit trees – including an apple, pear and fig tree – homemade fig rolls or apple pie, yes please! There is plenty of space for a vegetable patch if you're looking to expand the operation of home growing fruit and vegetables.

Each cottage is a charming three-bedroom semi-detached home, with two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. As well as modern bathrooms in each property, there is a downstairs toilet and charming stove fireplaces in the lounge for those cosy evenings in with the family.

What the Owner says:

My father purchased these charming properties back in 1982, when he acquired the adjoining nurseries.
In terms of location, Macketts Lane is halfway between Newport, Shanklin and Sandown, and so ideally located to enjoy the delights of these three iconic Isle of Wight towns. Situated just off the main road, the properties are in a nice private location, with no through traffic.
Although useful amenities like schools, supermarkets and the Fighting Cox pub are nearby, it's the wealth of outdoor space that is the real delight that we've enjoyed over the years. At the end of Macketts Lane is a bridleway and public footpath, which means joyous country walks with the dog – you can walk for three hours without seeing anyone – bliss! It's around a 90-minute walk to Godshill Village, where we often like to refresh at The Old World Tearoom. For those that value their wildlife, you'll be in for a treat too.
The aforementioned The Fighting Cocks is a popular spot, with this family-oriented Isle of Wight pub offering an excellent range of food and drink for all ages.
And that's before we come to the wonderful land, we've been lucky enough to have at our disposal. With vast gardens and a paddock at the back, these properties also have two patio areas to enjoy the sun at different times of the day. The field can be used for all sorts of activities – we've hosted weddings, arranged rounders and cricket matches.
