East Ogil is situated in a private yet accessible position on the edge of the Angus Glens about nine miles north of Forfar and only around four miles from the A90 which connects Dundee and Aberdeen. Glen Ogil is the name is given to the valley of the Noran Water, a spate river which flows through
the estate along the western boundary. The market towns of both Kirriemuir and Forfar provide a range of local services including supermarkets, post office, newsagents GP surgery, hotels, butchers and a primary school.
The city of Dundee is only a 30 minute drive and provides more extensive services including shopping centres, leisure facilities, two universities, secondary schooling, the highly acclaimed V&A Dundee Museum and railway station with daily services to Aberdeen and Edinburgh, as well as a

Glenshee ski resort is only 31 miles away. There are some wonderful walks in the Angus Hills and Lunan Bay which is a National Nature Reserve has a lovely sandy beach for walks and picnics.
