Spacious modern country house with detached one bedroom annexe, set in gardens and grounds of about 4 acres.

Description

A spacious modern country house, understood to have been built in the mid 1990’s on the site of an older property. The pleasing elevations are mainly whitened render under a tiled roof, with UPVC double glazed windows. In 2013/14, the current owners carried out an extensive programme of refurbishment which included an extension to provide the large open plan kitchen/dining room with main bedroom suite above. The house offers bright accommodation with clean modern styling, luxurious fully tiled bath and shower rooms, oak internal doors, and views across the gardens and grounds from many of the rooms.

An entrance porch and front door open into the hall, with oak floor, hall and understairs cupboards, and a modern guest cloakroom. The double aspect sitting room has a feature fireplace with heavy wood beam, log burner, oak flooring, and French doors to the terrace and garden. The study could also be used as a TV room or snug. The impressive open plan kitchen/ dining room is attractively fitted with a comprehensive range of units with granite tops including a large central island and breakfast bar, double Belfast sink, integrated dishwasher, Rangemaster range cooker with induction hob and Rangemaster American style fridge/ freezer. The floor is tiled and has underfloor heating. There is a bay window sitting area with lovely views across the garden, and bi-fold doors opening onto the terrace. A separate utility/ boot room has a sink, plumbing and space for washer and dryer, water softener, wall mounted boiler and a door to the rear porch.

From the hall, a staircase with balustrading leads to the first floor landing with airing cupboard. The main bedroom has double aspect windows including doors to a small balcony with delightful views of the garden, built in wardrobes plus additional eaves storage, and a modern en suite shower room. The guest bedroom also features an en suite shower room with Travertine tiling. The two further double bedrooms both have fitted wardrobes and share the modern family bathroom, with bath and separate shower. The house has the benefit of Calor Gas fired central heating.

Within the grounds is a Detached Annexe comprising a hallway, living room with French doors to the garden, fitted kitchen/ dining room, double bedroom and bathroom. The annexe has a paved terrace. NB New UPVC windows are due to be fitted in May 2021
